Is there a foreign exchange bureau at the terminal (Poland/Sweden)?

There is no foreign exchange bureau at the Świnoujście terminal but there is one near the car check-in. There is also no foreign exchange bureau at the Ystad terminal. 

Are there any limitations concerning luggage size and weight?

A Passenger within the Contract may transport luggage that weighs up to 30 kg and measures 70 cm x 50 cm x 40 cm. All objects heavier than that shall be transported as Cargo, unless they are considered a Vehicle on the basis of the Conditions. The above limitations do not apply for Necessary Medical Equipment, accepted for carriage as Luggage, if not stated otherwise in the Conditions.
A Passenger is obliged to declare all objects that exceed the weight or size limit.

Is there a place on the Ferry where I can keep/leave my luggage during the cruise?

There is a free-of-charge luggage storage room on the ferries. 

Will I be alone in the cabin if I only book a bed in a cabin?

Booking a bed in a cabin does not guarantee that you will be its only user. If you wish to use the cabin exclusively, we recommend booking an entire cabin.

Why do I have to pay for the entire cabin if I am travelling with a child?

An adult travelling with a child 13 years old and younger is obliged to book an entire cabin for safety and comfort reasons.

Why do I need to buy a special cabin for a dog instead of a normal cabin?

Cabins adapted for pets are situated close to the open deck and they are equipped with a litter tray. 

Is it necessary to get to Świnoujście by a regular ferry in order to reach the check-in?

Transport by a regular ferry is not necessary in order to get to the terminal.

What is the distance between Świnoujście and Ystad?

The distance from Świnoujście to Ystad is 92 nautical miles, that is 170.384 km.

Are all ferry facilities available from the moment you enter the ferry or after it has launched?

What can I do if there are no cabins left on the ferry I am on? Where can I go?

You are invited to visit our restaurants and shops during your trip.

How far away from the Terminal is the railway station (Poland/Sweden)?

Both in Ystad and in Świnoujście the railway station is about 600 m from the terminal. 

Is there Internet access on the ferries? Or is there a place where I can use the Internet for a charge?

Unfortunately, there is no Internet access on our ferries. 

Can I use my driving licence or a Swedish/Norwegian credit card with a photo as a proof of identification?

The only documents authorising you to cross the border are passport or a national identity card. 

Can I enter the ferry if my car has studded tyres?

You cannot enter the ferry in a car with studded tyres.

What happens if I do not have a vehicle registration documents? Will I be let in?

The driver is obliged to show the vehicle registration documents during the check-in.

My car has broken down, can someone else tow me into the ferry?

Only fully functional vehicles or vehicles located on a platform trailer may enter the ferry. 

Can I tow another car into the ferry?

Only fully functional vehicles or vehicles located on a platform trailer may enter the ferry. 

Can I stay in the car during the cruise?

All passengers are requested to leave the car deck during the cruise. 

How long is the journey?

The Polonia and Skania ferries take on average ca. 7,5 h to get from Świnoujście to Ystad. The length of the journey may, however, vary due to weather conditions or other factors beyond our control.

May I pay by credit card in the foreign exchange bureau on the ferry and receive cash in return?

The foreign exchange bureau on the ferry accepts cash only.

Can I leave my dog in the car during the cruise?

All passengers and their pets are requested to leave the car deck during the cruise.

I lost my identity card and have a certificate issued by the City Hall and have no other proof of identification. Can I still board the ferry?

The only documents authorising you to cross the border are passport or a national identity card. The certificate does not have a photograph, therefore you may not enter the ferry on its basis. 

May I receive the history of my ferry travels from previous years?

We do not issue booking confirmation or ticket duplicates for ferry cruises from previous years. The confirmation that you have undertaken the cruise is the ticket or an invoice issued at the request of a traveller on the basis of the receipt which is a proof of purchase. The invoice may be issued no later than on the 15th day of the month following the month the service was provided.
